Everything you would expect from a local diner. Friendly staff, delicious food, and generous portions. We had the mini loco moco, chili rice, saimen, and salmon katsu. Nobody could finish their food. Sadly, we had no room left for their famous desserts.
It's the fastest service I've ever experienced at a sit down restaurant. Granted, it was a weekday, but we walked right in and were seated quickly. We reviewed the menu for about 5 minutes and ordered. And then, in about 5 minutes or less, our plates of food came to our table. I was astonished. We ordered the meat lover's plate which had bacon, spam, portuguese sausage and corned beef with a choice of white, brown or fried rice with eggs cooked to order.
Chili moco is the way to go! Ube ensaymada was perfect to share for dessert. Typical Zippy’s. Orange bang drink was good, too!
I recently visited Zippy's in Kapolei for breakfast, which is conveniently located near my hotel. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and promptly seated by a delightful waitress who quickly brought me a refreshing iced tea—a perfect start to the meal. She recommended the Meat Lovers breakfast, which I decided to try. The meal came with two sunny-side-up eggs, Portuguese sausage, SPAM, bacon, and corned beef hash served alongside fried rice. Each component of the dish was tasty and well-prepared, except for the corned beef hash, which was not to my liking. Despite that, the rest of the meal was satisfying and left me happily full. I had a very positive experience at Zippy's, thanks to the excellent service and hearty breakfast offerings. I recommend it to anyone looking for a fulfilling start to their day!
Always a favorite go to restaurant in Hawaii. If you're ever in Guam, it reminds me of King's restaurant. It has local favorites that are always tasty. I always their Korean fried chicken, which taste amazing, and I love their zip min. Those are usually my go-to whenever I bring my family. Highly recommend for those who want to try something other than typically American chain restaurants!
Nice place to try some local cuisine if you’re visiting the main island. Enjoyed the Zippy Pac Deluxe which had a good sampling of their dishes.
